ACES is a project developed to improve connectivity between several well known Quality accreditation systems in common use within the Vocational Education Sector (VET).
This project seeks to assist partner countries move to EQARF through transferring an online assessment tool, developed on a previous project to meet the needs of EFQM and ISO 9000, and adapting it to the requirements of national and other quality frameworks in use in these countries. By extending an already existing TQM model based on the requirements of both EFQM and EQARF, the ACES solution will help to allow a better approach for benchmarking in the VET sector across the EU.
ACES is a project developed to improve connectivity between several well known Quality accreditation systems in common use within the Vocational Education Sector (VET).
Developed by partners from 4 members states, including 3 VET/HE providers ,a software company and a company providing IT support for business , ACES aims to refine an existing online assessment tool to meet the assessment criteria for EFQM,ISO 9000 and the national quality frameworks of the partner countries such as Education Scotland.
The project involves partners from Germany, Denmark, Scotland and the Czech Republic.
It is a Transfer of Innovation (TOI) project funded by the Leonardo da Vinci programme and has been developed from 2 earlier projects SAETO and Trans SAETO.
An innovative aspect of the project will be the inclusion of trainers and learners-particularly disadvantaged learners-in the evaluation process. Quality in Vocational Education and Training (VET) is one of the central issues of the Copenhagen Process towards more trust-based transparency and quality in VET and in the labour market. Due to its discourse-based total quality conception, the EFQM Excellence Model is one of the favoured quality schemes in the pedagogic field, after an initial rush for ISO in the 90ies.
Will be available shortly.
